FAQ
MY DOG'S NOT TRAINED VERY WELL....
That's fine - the outdoor sessions will be more like a normal outing, except with paparazzi lurking in the background. We can possibly try some poses, but we'll get great shots anyway. Chances are he/she will be on a leash for all or most of the session for their safety (not to mention council rules and regulations...).
If it's a studio style shoot at your home...well, you just never know, it might just turn into an outdoor shoot!
WHERE ARE YOU BASED, AND WHERE DO YOU SHOOT?
I'm located at Rathmines, on the shores of Lake Macquarie, NSW. There are some lovely spots to photograph around this area. I'm OK with anywhere within a 20 - 30 min drive, which gets me basically between Redhead Beach in the North, to Morriset in the South. Outdoor shoots are outside :-) Studio style shoots would take place in your home if you have a suitable area to set-up the backdrop/ light stands, etc.
WHEN WILL WE GET OUR PHOTOS?
Your will receive an online gallery link to your unedited photos within 3 days. There you can choose which photos you love the most. I'll then edit the chosen photos and have them ready for purchase within 2 weeks (usually less). You can download the photos from the gallery, and also order prints!
WHAT SHOULD WE WEAR AND WHAT DO WE BRING?
It depends.... for your dog, usually minimal is best. A thin leash can be edited out later, collars and harnesses will stay in the photo.
For the humans, perhaps solid neutrals, but hey, it depends on the occasion, and whether you want to be in the photos. Try to avoid loose weave material (tends to produce a moire pattern in photos).
Bring lots of small reward treats, favourite throw toy, ball, etc. Water & bowl.
HOW SHOULD WE PREPARE FOR THE SESSION?
Perhaps a bath a day or two before the session day (for your dog...) if you feel your dog needs it, a brush/comb on the day, a short walk before the shoot. If the session is close to a meal-time, leave the meal for after the shoot so he/she will be more attentive to treats.
